Dr. Utley has over twenty years of experience guiding molecules through lead optimization into early clinical development. He received a PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Florida before moving into the pharmaceutical industry. During his career he has had a wide range of hands-on experience spanning the ADME area; he brings expertise in human dose prediction, preclinical to clinical translation, pharmacokinetics, biotransformation and bioanalysis. Dr. Utley has helped transition over a dozen molecules into first in human trials, four of which have gone on to become approved drugs. Going forward, he is looking to apply his experience to assist companies with their preclinical to clinical strategy and execution.
In my off time, you will inevitably find me outside. Whether it is running, hiking, skiing, taking photographs or walking our dogs, we always find a way to have fun in the great outdoors.
